First moment of happyness

I love the news, but in the end I find myself routine

amo le novità, ma alla fine mi scopro abitudinaria

perhaps also because of my job
 where nothing is ever certain
 and that makes me need to get closer to what is beautiful and gives me serenity

 forse anche per via del lavoro che faccio
 dove nulla è mai certo
 e che mi rende necessario avvicinarmi a ciò che è bello e mi dà serenità

I started to feel really mine my new home  

 when I picked up for the first time my garden's basil
I was inebriate with its wonderful scent

Ho iniziato a sentire davvero mia la nuova casa

quando ho raccolto per la prima volta il basilico nel mio giardino.
Mi sono inebriata col suo profumo 

ed ho provato il primo moto di felicità

and I tried the first motion of happiness

My daughter's new bedroom- a sneak peek

As I told you once, every change in my home always started with my daughter's room,

and also this time it went in this way: her room is the only one of the new house almost completed

 Come ho già raccontato una volta, tutti i cambiamenti in casa  mia

sono sempre partiti dalla camera di mia figlia, e  anche questa volta è andata così:

 la sua è l'unica stanza quasi completata nella nuova casa

 Who follows me since a long time can see 

that there is a certain similarity to my old bedroom..... =)

Chi mi segue da tempo potrà vedere che c'è una certa similitudine 

con la mia vecchia camera da letto......  =)

 that suitably refreshed with some accessories best suited to her age

 and with some adjustment for her needs

 has allowed us to furnish her  room without spending a dime

che opportunamente rinfrescata con alcuni accessori più adatti alla sua età 

e con qualche adeguamento per le sue necessità

ci ha permesso di arredare la sua stanza senza spendere un centesimo

 (grazie cara Monica!)

Some detail still missing, such as curtains,

  (that have necessariamante adapt to the ceilings so high that we have here)

 or a ruffled bed skirt that I plan to sew since a long time...

some shelves...

 Qualche dettaglio ancora mancante, come le tende

 (che devo necessariamante adattare ai soffitti così alti che abbiamo qua)

 o una bed skirt che ho in mente di cucirle da tanto tempo...

qualche mensola ...

But in the meantime she has already made ​​her first slumber party  

to celebrate her birthday and her new room!

 Ma intanto lei ha già fatto il suo primo pigiama party

 per festeggiare il suo compleanno e la sua nuova stanza!

Country flair

I do not ever lose this ancient country fair that is held every year  

in the marvelous medieval village of Castello dei Rossi in Sasso Marconi

 Non mi perdo mai questa antica fiera contadina che si tiene ogni anno 

nel meraviglioso borgo medievale del Castello dei Rossi a Sasso Marconi

 

 Every year reserve some corner of magic

ogni anno riserva qualche angolo di magia

 and the vine always enchants me, a metaphor for life:
rough but sometimes reserves sweet surprises

 e la vite mi incanta sempre, metafora della vita:
ruvida ma che a volte riserva dolci sorprese

 Meanwhile, small and archers grow ...

 E intanto piccoli arcieri crescono...

My New Bedroom - some details

Finally the new home is starting to take shape

 and although we are still emptying boxes

 (during the night do they reproduce?!!)

 slowly the pieces begin to fit

 Finalmente la nuova casa sta cominciando ad assumere una forma

 ed anche se stiamo ancora svuotando scatoloni

( ma durante la notte si riproducono?!!)

 lentamente i pezzi si cominciano ad incastrare

It's amazing how sometimes just a single detail is enough

 to add flavor and character to a space

 E' incredibile come a volte basti un solo dettaglio

per aggiungere carattere e sapore ad uno spazio

In our bedroom, so very simple, it's been sufficient add the headboard

to make everything look a little more comfortable and lived

 Nella nostra camera da letto, molto scarna per ora,

è stato sufficiente aggiungere la testata del letto

per far sembrare tutto un po' più confortevole e vissuto

It's an old door gathered in a downtown street

 I just stripped and sanded

( but I will tell her story in another post...)

E'  una vecchia porta raccolta in una strada del centro

che ho solo sverniciato e scartavetrato

( ma vi racconterò la sua storia in un altro post...)

Nesty September

 I love September

but I never expected September as this year

 Amo molto settembre

 ma non l'ho mai atteso come questo anno

My farmhouse table

Me and Cristina are friends since always, since we were little child.

So when she knew we needed a little table for our new little kitchen

gave me one. But not an ordinary one.

Io e Cristina siamo amiche da sempre, fin da quando eravamo piccole.

Così quando ha saputo che avevamo bisogno di un piccolo tavolo

per la nostra nuova piccola cucina me ne ha regalato uno.

Ma non uno qualsiasi.

She gave one of her grandmother. I still remember it...

In her always busy kitchen, where there always was smell of good things

and us girls waiting for a slice of cake

lei mi ha donato quello della sua nonna. Me lo ricordo ancora

nella sua cucina sempre impegnata, dove si sentiva sempre profumo di buono

e noi bimbe che apettavamo una fetta di ciambella
