Waiting for Christmas - Last minute DIY gift - Decorated candles

I love candles, their soft light, I use them all the year  

but especially at Christmas time I scattered them everywhere, 

and hubby askes me where is the Sanctuary ...

 Adoro le candele, la loro luce morbida, le uso tutto l'anno 

ma specialmente a Natale le sparpaglio un po' ovunque, 

e il maritino mi chiede dov'è il santuario...

 There is always some unexpected gift to do,  

that we might remember the last moment
 ... or want to do a little something at low cost.

 C'è sempre qualche regalino inaspettato da fare, 

di cui ci ricordiamo magari all'ultimo momento
... o vogliamo fare un pensierino a basso costo.

Decorated candles can be the solution!

Le candele decorate possono essere una soluzione!

We need:

white candels

white tissue paper

 spray removable glue (or masking tape)

printer

Occorrente:

candele bianche

carta velina bianca

colla spray rimovibile (o scotch di carta)

stampante 

Cut tissue paper the size of a sheet of A4 paper and glue with removable glue  

(or fix with the masking tape on the edges of the sheet)

Print the images you prefere

I chose the images of baby angels that I found on the web
and at the legendary Graphics Fairy

Tagliamo la carta velina della misura di un foglio di carta A4 e incolliamola 

con la colla removibile 

(o fermiamola con lo scotch di carta sui bordi del foglio)
Stampiamo le immagini che preferiamo
io ho scelto le immagini di angeli bambini che ho trovato nel web
e dalla mitica Graphics Fairy

 Cut the images as close as possible to the edge,  place it on the candle

 and then heat it with a hair dryer until the image has been "merged" with the candle.
Take care to spread uniformly heat 

END!

Tagliamo le immagini il più possibile vicino al bordo, posizioniamole sulla candela

 e poi con il phon scaldiamo l'immagine fino a che si sia "fusa" con la candela,
avendo cura di diffondere  il calore uniformemente

FINE!

Christmas little decorations

Small handmade jewelry, made ​​from simple things,

Look at this little crown, made with beans and dried orange peel,

from South America. 

Isn't it a real little jewel?

Osservate questa piccola corona, fatta con fagioli e scorze di arancia essiccate, 

che proviene dal sudamerica. 

Non è un vero piccolo gioiello?

An object made with our own hands, even the simplest, most certainly warms my heart!

I'll show you our Christmas wreath

Cari amici, oggi per il terzo appuntamento di Wating for Christmas 

vi mostro la nostra corona dell'Avvento

It is made ​​up of natural elements and recycled, 

as I re-proposed to do for all the decorations this year

è composta da elementi naturali e riciclati, 

come mi sono riproposta di fare per tutte le decorazioni di quest'anno

some branch of wisteria bent, some old Christmas balls covered with wool (the tutorial here),

Our little Christmas tree

We still haven't got the "true" tree.

So, for don't miss much longer the traditional symbol of Christmas 

 I and our little one have decorated a small fir

Ancora non abbiamo preso l'albero "vero".

Così, per non fare mancare ancora a lungo il tradizionale simbolo del Natale 

io e il nostro omino abbiamo decorato un piccolissimo abete

Small balls, light like soap bubbles, some real pine cone, stopped with tiny clothespins,

a scrap of lace

and the magic is served ...

Piccolissime palline, leggere come bolle di sapone, 

qualche pigna vera, fermata con piccolissime mollette da bucato

un pezzettino di pizzo

e la magia è servita...

Our Advent Calendar

A little late because of a sore arm, but at the end I managed

 to finish the Advent Calendar for our little One.

Un po' in ritardo per via di un braccio dolorante,  ma alla  fine sono riuscita 

a terminare il calendario dell'avvento per il nostro piccolino. 

He would never have forgiven us, from the high of his four years 

if we had not hung in the house some colored bag for Advent time.

Non ci avrebbe mai perdonati, dall'alto dei suoi quattro anni, 

se non avessimo appeso in casa qualche sacchettino colorato per l'Avvento.

Some scraps of white cloth, a zig zag of red thread, twine 

and some paper for cupcakes from Ikea

cut in a star shape and ribbon gift
glued  with a drop of hot glue, and here come these little bags

Qualche avanzo di stoffa bianca, uno zig zag di filo rosso, spago 

e  qualche pirottino di carta per i cupcakes dell'Ikea

tagliato a forma di stella e nastro da regalo 

incollati con una goccia di colla a caldo, ed ecco nascere questi sacchettini

No matter the content, candy, chocolates, simple soap bubbles ...

Poco importa il contenuto, una caramella, un cioccolatino, semplici bolle di sapone...

I wished that this little moment of joy was an opportunity for him 

to learn something

Desideravo che anche questo piccolo momento di gioia 
fosse un'occasione per lui per imparare qualcosa

So I put in the bags with two chocolate coins a note: 

"to share with someone"

and in the other a bag with bread crumbs for the sparrows, 

because Advent is also thinking of others

Così ho inserito nei sacchetti con due monete di cioccolato un biglietto: 

"da dividere con qualcuno"

ed in altre un sacchettino con briciole di pane per i passerotti,

Waiting for Christmas - Christmas tree wool decorations TUTORIAL

Dear friends, here we are for the third round of Waiting for Christmas!

Today I show you a simple  ideas to turn an old Christmas tree decorations

with a new romantic look

Cari amici eccoci qua per il terzo appuntamento di Waiting for Christmas! 

Oggi vi mostro un'idea semplicissima per trasformare una vecchia pallina

dell'albero di Natale, dandole un tocco romantico

We all have in our homes old Christmas tree balls which are not stand it any longer.
Takes very little to give it a new look!

required:
ball (foam, plastic, glass, any thing can work)
spray paint white (optional)
double-sided tape
some remnant of wool
hot glue
string
an image that we like printed on aged paper

Tutti abbiamo in casa delle vecchie palline di Natale che non sopportiamo più.
Basta veramente poco per dargli un nuovo look!

Necessario:
pallina di polistirolo, plastica o vetro
pittura spray bianca (facoltativo)
nastro biadesivo
qualche rimanenza di lana
colla a caldo
spago
una immagine che ci piace stampata su carta  invecchiata

una spruzzata di spray bianco

I attached two strips of double-sided tape along the meridian and parallel of the ball,
to remain still the early wool laps

ho attaccato due strisce di nastro biadesivo lungo meridiano e parallelo della pallina, 
per fare rimanere fermi i primi giri di lana

when the ball was completely covered with wool and it looked like a ball

I stopped the wool with a drop of hot glue
I then rolled twine around the hook of the ball stopping always with the hot glue

quando la pallina era completamente ricoperta di lana e sembrava proprio un gomitolo 
ho fermato la lana con una goccia di colla a caldo.
Ho poi arrotolato lo spago intorno al gancetto della pallina 
fermandolo sempre con la colla a caldo

Finally, a touch of sweetness more ...
