 bows and swords, excited at the sight of the Emperor

A mother who enchants in front of ancient embroidery and bagpipes,

 flag-waving and parades of archers

Una mamma che si incanta davanti ad antichi ricami e cornamuse

 sbandieratori e sfilate di arcieri

and the charm of old crafts, fascinating ancient techniques 

e l'incanto dei vecchi mestieri, antiche tecniche affascinanti  

 they make us remember how much it was hard once to get things

 that today we have simply snapping our fingers...

 che fanno ricordare quanto fosse faticoso un tempo ottenere cose

 che oggi abbiamo schioccando le dita...

Paper Butterfly - Tutorial and pattern

An old frame recovered (here) some old's book page, some little wooden clothespin,

a piece of network hutch. 
And then web full of ideas to inspire,
 a little fantasy, a little poetry...

Una vecchia cornice recuperata (qui) qualche pagina di un vecchio libro, 

qualche piccola molletta da bucato in legno, un pezzetto di rete da conigliera.

E poi il web pieno di idee a cui ispirarsi,
un po' di fantasia, un po' di poesia...

Here is a small tutorial and a pattern made ​​by me with images on the web

 Le farfalle dello scorso post sono piaciute molto e in tante mi hanno chiesto come le ho fatte. 

Ecco un piccolo tutorial e un pattern fatto da me con immagini prese dal web

e dal mitico Graphics fairy

( come faremmo senza!)

Work is really easy to make, all you need are the pages of an old book. 

E' un lavoro veramente facile da realizzare, tutto quel che serve sono le pagine di un vecchio libro. 

If you have not you can print the pattern on normal paper that can be aged simply by wetting the paper with coffee and letting it dry.

Nel caso in cui non le aveste potete stampare il pattern su carta normale che poi potete invecchiare semplicemente inumidendo la carta col caffè e lasciandola asciugare bene.

 I don't use owen to dry, and I prefer first to print and then age paper

Io non la metto a seccare in forno e preferisco prima stampare e poi invecchiare la carta

When cutting the paper I did not follow precisely the edge, specially where the body is too thin

 Nel tagliare la carta non ho seguito precisamente il bordo, 

specialmente dove corpo e antenne della farfalla erano troppo sottili

 Many small clothespin to gently direct their flight

 Tante mollettine per dirigerne gentilmente il volo

 But I left this butterfly free to fly wherever she wants ...

Ma questa farfalla l'ho lasciata libera di volare dove vuole...

That's what I need, I said long ago: a little more poetry.

 Ecco di cosa ho più bisogno, dicevo tempo fa: un po più di poesia.

Pew things are more poetic of them

Poche cose sono più poetiche di loro

So I printed some butterflies on the pages of an old book:  

to surround me with a bit poetry

Così ho stampato  delle farfalle su delle pagine di un vecchio libro:

per circondarmi di un po' di poesia 

 

They are intended for a small decorative project 

that I will show you in the next post

Waiting for the friends to come

A whole week without internet ... I seemed to live out of this world!
But now thankfully the problems seem resolved, and I'm here with you again, my darling friends.

Una intera settimana senza internet... mi è parso di vivere fuori dal mondo!
Ma ora per fortuna i problemi sembrano risolti, e sono ancora qua con voi, cari amici.

 On the positive side sometimes it is also good to take a short break from the blog, it is a chance to recover a bit of time and return to the occupations of all time, as receive friends, thing I love so much

Guardando al lato positivo  qualche volta è anche un bene prendere una breve pausa dal blog, è una occasione per riprendersi un po' di tempo e tornare alle occupazioni di sempre, 
come ricevere gli amici, cosa che mi piace un sacco

 I really love the moments of conviviality, and now that the house is almost finished  
and we even almost all the chairs that we need...

 Amo tantissimo i momenti di convivialità, e ora che la casa è quasi terminata
e abbiamo perfino quasi tutte le sedie che servono...
