Our Advent Calendar

A little late because of a sore arm, but at the end I managed

 to finish the Advent Calendar for our little One.

Un po' in ritardo per via di un braccio dolorante,  ma alla  fine sono riuscita 

a terminare il calendario dell'avvento per il nostro piccolino. 

He would never have forgiven us, from the high of his four years 

if we had not hung in the house some colored bag for Advent time.

Non ci avrebbe mai perdonati, dall'alto dei suoi quattro anni, 

se non avessimo appeso in casa qualche sacchettino colorato per l'Avvento.

Some scraps of white cloth, a zig zag of red thread, twine 

and some paper for cupcakes from Ikea

cut in a star shape and ribbon gift
glued  with a drop of hot glue, and here come these little bags

Qualche avanzo di stoffa bianca, uno zig zag di filo rosso, spago 

e  qualche pirottino di carta per i cupcakes dell'Ikea

tagliato a forma di stella e nastro da regalo 

incollati con una goccia di colla a caldo, ed ecco nascere questi sacchettini

No matter the content, candy, chocolates, simple soap bubbles ...

Poco importa il contenuto, una caramella, un cioccolatino, semplici bolle di sapone...

I wished that this little moment of joy was an opportunity for him 

to learn something

Desideravo che anche questo piccolo momento di gioia 
fosse un'occasione per lui per imparare qualcosa

So I put in the bags with two chocolate coins a note: 

"to share with someone"

and in the other a bag with bread crumbs for the sparrows, 

because Advent is also thinking of others

Così ho inserito nei sacchetti con due monete di cioccolato un biglietto: 

"da dividere con qualcuno"

ed in altre un sacchettino con briciole di pane per i passerotti, 

perchè Avvento sia anche pensare agli altri
