Nesty September

 I love September

but I never expected September as this year

 Amo molto settembre

 ma non l'ho mai atteso come questo anno

 September for me has always been the moment of return to my projects

 of new ideas and energy recovered

settembre per me è sempre stato il periodo del rientro, dei progetti

delle nuove idee e delle energie recuperate

and with its cooler climate time to rethink my nest

 make it cozy and warm for the cold that comes.
I have a lot of projects!

e col suo clima più fresco il momento di ripensare al mio nido

renderlo accogliente e tiepido per il freddo che arriverà.
Ho un sacco di progetti!
 

I still don't have internet connection at home

 I hope it will come soon, I miss you 
and the daily splash into beauty visiting your world!

Non ho ancora la connessione internet a casa

 spero arrivi presto, mi mancate voi
 e il tuffo quotidiano nella bellezza che faccio visitando il vostro mondo!

My farmhouse table

Me and Cristina are friends since always, since we were little child.

So when she knew we needed a little table for our new little kitchen

gave me one. But not an ordinary one.

Io e Cristina siamo amiche da sempre, fin da quando eravamo piccole.

Così quando ha saputo che avevamo bisogno di un piccolo tavolo

per la nostra nuova piccola cucina me ne ha regalato uno.

Ma non uno qualsiasi.

She gave one of her grandmother. I still remember it...

In her always busy kitchen, where there always was smell of good things

and us girls waiting for a slice of cake

lei mi ha donato quello della sua nonna. Me lo ricordo ancora

nella sua cucina sempre impegnata, dove si sentiva sempre profumo di buono

e noi bimbe che apettavamo una fetta di ciambella

A little make up: a simple flaking and here it is, a new life!

Un piccolo make up: una semplice sverniciata ed eccolo a nuova vita!

Moving

Times of goodby to the old home are arrived

and we are taking away the last remaining things

Infine è' arrivato il tempo di salutare la vecchia casa

e di togliere le ultime piccole cose rimaste

Work has been hard this summer

moving so many things and trying to re-create a new nest
and i'm still swamped with work still to do...

Abbiamo lavorato tanto questa estate

per traslocare tante (troppe!) cose e cercare di ricreare un nostro nido
e sono ancora sommersa di cose da fare ...

Blackberries

Not only sea but also some peaceful moment

in the quiet of the nearby countryside

Non solo mare ma anche qualche  tranquillo momento

nella pace della meravigliosa campagna vicina

 

where a kind landowner told us where to find 

the juicier and sweetest blackberies

dove un gentile proprietario ci ha mostrato dove trovare

le più succose e dolci more

They are immediately become jam

to imprison some of the sweetness of these days

 and enjoy it when we'll need to remember in wintertimes

 Sono subito diventate marmellata

 per imprigionare un po' della dolcezza di questi giorni

 e goderne quando ci servirà ricordarla durante l'inverno

Soul holidays

When we left for this holiday I was not expecting anything special

 only a bit of rest I needed so much, and the closeness of my family

 Quando siamo partiti per queste vacanze non mi aspettavo niente di particolare

solo un po' di riposo, di cui avevo tanto bisogno, e la vicinanza della mia famiglia

 Instead they have been soul holidays

 invece sono state le vacanze dell'anima

Family, friends

sun, sea and serenity

Famiglia, amici,

sole, mare e serenità 

 I realized that even the usual places can be filled with warmth and magic

 if you live with your soul wide open

Mi sono resa conto che anche i soliti posti possono essere pieni di calore e di magia 

se li vivi con l'anima aperta

My daughter's bedroom

It may seem strange that I publish these pictures right now,
missing a few days to move to our new home

but this room for me has always had a particular value, symbolic

Può sembrare strano che io pubblichi queste immagini proprio ora,

che mancano pochi giorni al trasferimento nella nuova casa

ma questa camera per me ha sempre avuto un valore particolare, simbolico

My daughter's room was the first room to be completed

when I moved in this home.
I  wanted everything to be okay for her, I wanted she feel at home, welcomed and pampered

Were not easy times for us...

La cameretta di mia figlia era stata la prima stanza completata

quando mi sono trasferita in questa casa.

Volevo che tutto fosse a posto per lei, desideravo che si sentisse a casa sua, accolta e coccolata
Non erano tempi facili per noi...

She was 6 and a strong pink worked well on her wall,
Wooden furniture and shelves, and colored courtains.

Aveva 6 anni e un bel color rosa forte era perfetto sulle sue pareti.

Mobili e mensole color legno, e tendine colorate.

After few years that pink has been cleared by a beautiful butter-yellow

Dopo alcuni anni quel rosa forte è stato cancellato da un bel color burro 

And furnishing and shelves made lighter with a coat of white and pale blue

E i mobili e le mensole resi più luminosi con una mano di bianco e azzurro

And so this is has been the result.

Changes in our home (and lives) always started with her room.

E così questo è stato il risultato.

I cambiamenti della nostra  casa (e della nostra vita) sono sempre partiti dalla sua stanza

Surely it will be so also in the new home...

Sicuramente sarà così anche nella casa nuova...
