A dream cherished for a long time, so many projects, doubts, a lot of work.
And then the dream takes shape slowly, sometimes takes unexpected acceleration.
And one day there it was, no longer a dream but reality.

 Un sogno accarezzato per lungo tempo, tanti progetti, dubbi, molto lavoro.
E poi quel sogno prende forma, piano piano, a volte prende accelerazioni inaspettate.
E un giorno eccolo lì, non più sogno ma realtà.

Finally time for Gravel has come!

Warming October

First rains are enough, and suddenly October gives us mornings of sparkling air,  

and desire to heat the house, even just for the joy of the eyes.

  Bastano le prime piogge e improvvisamente ottobre ti regala mattine di aria frizzante, e voglia di scaldare la casa, anche solo per la gioia degli occhi.

 

I have collected some of my Annabelle now blackened (other are beautiful, green, still on the bushes) and decorated on autumn's notes.

 Ho raccolto alcune delle mie Annabelle ormai imbrunite (altre sono bellissime, verdi, ancora sui cespugli) e  decorato sulle note dell'autunno.

I found these old balls of hemp at a thrift store this summer, and I imagine them right this way. I like their ancient air, their imperfection.

 Ho trovato questi gomitoli di vecchia canapa in un negozio dell'usato questa estate, e le ho immaginate proprio  così. Mi piace la loro aria antica, la loro imperfezione.

Days that perfume of cookies lemon-scented and cuddles.

Air of Late Summer

I look at these blue, cloudless skies of September as only they can be 

and I enjoy this fresh air, and I think any time of year I like how the beginning of autumn.

Guardo questi cieli azzurri tersi come solo i cieli di settembre possono essere e mi godo quest'aria fresca, e penso che nessun periodo dell'anno mi piace come l'inizio dell'autunno.
 

The walks in the last days of summer are one of the moments I love most of the year,

take a slow time, and collect a full hands what nature gives us generously.

Le passeggiate negli ultimi giorni d'estate sono uno dei momenti che amo di più dell'anno, 

prendere un tempo lento, e raccogliere a pieni mani quel che la natura ci regala generosamente.

Last Sunday, on our hills, the kids have eaten blackberries in handfuls, 

while I was amazed every step of the wonders that the light of these days 

manages to create between the leaves and flowers of wild carrot.

Domenica scorsa, sulle nostre, colline i ragazzi hanno mangiato more a manciate,
mentre io mi stupivo ogni passo delle meraviglie che la luce di questi giorni 
riesce a creare tra le foglie ed i fiori di carota selvatica.

September always brings a kind of magic...
