Hallo everybody!

Days ago I told you about a beautyful gift that a sweet friend made me: a lovely night table from the 19th sec.

It needs some repair and a white paint for the use I want to do, but it's right also the way it is ...

I think to put it in my bedroom in the left side of the bed, while in the right side I thaught to put a little white stair... What do you think about?

I will let you see soon how my bedroom restyling is going.

Giorni fa vi ho detto di un regalo che un'amica mi ha fatto: un delizioso comodino fine '800.
Ha bisogno di un piccolo restauro e di una pitturatina di bianco per l'uso che ne voglio fare, ma è bello anche com'è...

Penso di metterlo nella mia camera da letto a sinistra del letto, alla destra pensavo di metterci una piccola scala bianca... Che ne pensate?

Vi farò vedere presto come sta andando la risistemazione della mia camera da letto.

Ma questa settimana un'altra amica mi ha fatto un bellissimo regalo!
E' una donna piena di talento, e sono proprio contenta  di mostrare il bellissimo gioiello che ha fatto per me!

our bedroom makeover

Hallo everybody!

In the meanwhile works in our bedroom are advancing.

Ciao a tutti!
Nel frattempo i lavori nella nostra stanza da letto stanno progredendo.

Both, me and my (patient!) husband, are working in every free moment, each one in his expertize: My husband is still working on the wall, and I'm restoring our old chandelier.

Entrambi, io e il mio (paziente!) marito, stiamo lavorando in ogni momento libero, ognuno nella sua specialità: mio marito sta sempre lavorando sui muri, io restaurando un vecchio lampadario.

This is how the walls become few days ago! It's already a good point!

I muri, come erano già diventati qualche giorno fa! Già ad un buon punto!

And this was the old chandelier I want to put in our bedroom: I like it because it has perfect dimension for our room and because I found these little fat angels very funny!

A questo era il vecchio lampadario che voglio mettere nella camera da letto: mi piace perchè ha la dimensione giusta per la nostra stanza e perchè trovo questi piccoli angioletti grassottelli buffi!

Yesterday a friend made me a beautyful gift: an old night table from the old eighties she had in her house. She knew how I liked it and so she decided to give it to me... So sweet. They are not so easy to find, and ususlly quite expensive! I'll let you see soon in its location...

Ieri un'amica mi ha fatto un bellissimo  regalo: un vecchio comodino di fine ottocento che aveva a casa sua. Sapeva quanto mi piacesse e così ha deciso di darlo a me... Che cara. Non sono così facili da trovare e di solito sono piuttosto cari! Ve lo farò vedere presto nella sua collocazione...

Blue color - Il colore blu

Tidying my cupboard I pulled my old blue glasses.

And watching them I didn't resist...

Riordinando la mia credenza ho tirato fuori dei vecchi bicchieri blu.

E guardandoli non ho resistito...

Blue is a color that really fascinate me in every tone, from the most pale to the deeper.

Each time I see something blue, don't know why, inevitably it catch my attention.

Il blu è un colore che proprio mi affascina in ogni sua declinazione, dalla più dilavata alla più intensa.

Ogni volta che vedo qualcosa di blu, non so perchè, inevitabilmente attrae la mia attenzione.

My (changing) home

Hallo everyboby!
Me and my family live in this rent home since seven years. When we arrive here we decided to furnish it with ad ethnic style: yellow or orange walls, wooden furniture, ethnic accessories.
Times passed by, and our taste progressively changed and our necessity too. By living here we knew better qualities and faults of the spaces, for example that spaces aren't wide, and it lacks direct sunlight.

Io e la mia famiglia abitiamo in questa casa da sette anni. Quando siamo arrivati l'abbiamo arredata in stile etnico: muri gialli o arancio, mobili in legno, accessori etnici.
Col pasare del tempo il nostro gusto è cambiato ed anche le nostre necessità. Vivendoci abbiamo scoperto qualità e difetti di questo spazio, per esempio che gli spazi non sono ampi e manca la luce diretta del sole.

Recently I realize that we didn't use the appropriate color for the walls, and so decided to turn them all white.
Only this little change, and the light we reach by this way, made us determined to start the great make over af all!!
Gradually every thing is becoming white or pastel, walls, furniture, furnishing, lights .... I really love it!
Gradually every thing is becoming more simple and sober. We removed so many things! We couldn't realize how it was possible store so many things in so few time!

Recentemente ho capito che non avevamo usato il colore giusto per le pareti, e così ho deciso di dipingerli in bianco. Già solo questo piccolo cambiamento, e la luce che abbiamo ricavato in questo modo, ci ha determinati a fare un restiling di tutta la casa.
Gradualmente ogni cosa sta diventando bianca o pastello, muri, mobili, accssori, luci... Mi piace molto!
Gradualmente tutto sta diventando più semplice e sobrio. Abbiamo tolto così tante cose! Non abbiamo capito come sia stato posibile accumulare così tante cose in così poco tempo!

This was my bedroom ... few days ago!! We decided to put wood around the walls, 'cause it' very cold in winter.
I will let you see the evolutions time by time.
All I can say you now is that I have a very tolerant and laborious husband...!!

Questra era la mia camera da letto ... qualche giorno fa!!  Abbiamo deciso di isolare i muri con il perlinato perchè è molto fredda d'inverno. Vi farò vedere le evoluzioni passo passo.
Tutto quello che posso dire ora è che ho un marito molto paziente e laborioso...!!!

 And we decided to completly change this wall... terrrible!!!!!!!!!!!
E abbiamo deciso di cambiare completamente questo lato... terribile!!!!!!!!!!!

 Stop dreaming, I have to considerate that my bedroom is not wide, we have to thing how well use the little space we have... We will have to work hard!

Ok, basta sognare, devo considerare che la mia camera da letto non è ampia, dobbiamo pensare come usare bene lo spazio ridotto che abbiamo... Dovremo lavorare duro!

Fall in Bologna - part three

Hallo everybody!

As promise I'm here again with the third part of my little travel in my gorgeous Town and its beautiful surroundings.

Bologna is a very ancient town, birthplace of culture: is notorious that here has born the first University of the world.

It has medieval round structure, high walls around the old center, and many tovers (even if only two, the tallest, are famous...). It's surrounded by very beautiful green hills with grapevines, wheat and other...

Ciao a tutti! Come promesso sono di nuovo qua con la terza parte del mio piccolo viaggio nella mia meravigliosa città ed i suoi bellissimi dintorni.

Bologna è una città molto antica, culla di cultura: è noto che qua è nata la prima università del mondo.

Ha una struttura ovale medievale, alte mura circondano il centro antico, e tante torri (anche se solo due, le più alte, sono famose...). E' circondata da magnifiche verdi colline con viti, grano ecc.
