Christmas DIY Romantic Wreat + Fabric Roses Tutorial

La ghirlanda di Natale è uno dei simboli a cui non si può rinunciare.

Mi piace abbinare materiali contrastanti tra loro, trovo che si esaltino a vicenda.
 

Christmas Wreath is one of the typical symbols of Christmas we cannot be waived.

I like to combine contrasting materials between them, I find it exalt each other.
 

Qualche giorno fa, passeggiando tra i boschi, ho raccolto qualche ramo di Viticella,

una rampicante infestante che da noi si trova anche lungo i bordi delle strade, e l'ho intrecciato.

Una volta seccata la ghirlanda è la base ideale per realizzare un decoro semplice e naturale

a costo zero.

A few days ago, walking through the woods, I collected some branch of Viticella
a creeping weed that can be found also along roadsides, and I twisted it.
Once dried the garland is the ideal basis for a simple and natural decoration no-cost.

 
La ghirlanda può essere arricchita con tanti materiali, da semplici rami di edera a fiori di carta o tessuto, unite a pigne e qualsiasi cosa ci dica la nostra fantasia, a gocce di cristallo di lampadari, a nappine ...

 You can decorate your Wreath with lots of materials: simple branches of ivy, paper or fabric flowers  combined with pine cones and whatever our imagination wants, drops of crystal chandeliers...

 

Io ho scelto delle rose di tessuto.
 I chose romantic fabric roses.

Ecco come fare le roselline di tessuto:

Tagliare una striscia di tessuto in questo modo, poi con un ago fare una filza in modo da poter arricciare il tessuto.

Arrotolare la striscia su se stessa cercando di dare una forma a rosellina,

fermando di tanto in tanto con una goccia di colla a caldo.

Ne otterrete una rosellina circa così.

Here's how to create fabric roses.
Cut a strip of fabric this way, then with a needle make a string in order to curl the fabric.
Roll the strip trying to give it the shape of a little rose, putting a drop of hot glue to hold all together.
You will get a little rose like this.

 

I fiori di stoffa si possono ottenere in diversi modi, nel prossimo tutorial ve ne mostrerò un altro,

e qualche idea per utilizzarli nelle decorazioni

You can realize fabric flower in different ways, in a next tutorial I'll show you how

and some ideas to use them in decorations

Ho poi incollato sulla ghirlanda di Viticella le roselline e qualche pigna con la colla a caldo.

I then glued the roses and some pine cone with hot glue to the Viticella Wreath.

DIY Christmas Gifts and Decorations

Natale si avvicina a grandi passi,

se ne sente il profumo nell'aria che finalmente è diventata così fresca

da far diventare rossa la punta del naso dei bimbi.

  

Christmas is fast arriving, you can feel the scent in the air that finally became so fresh
to make red the tip of the nose of the children.

Già da qualche giorno ho iniziato a preparare i materiali per confezionare qualche dono,

ogni anno amo regalare a chi mi circonda qualcosa fatto da me

cose semplici, piccoli pensieri, che parlino di me e dell'affetto che provo per chi li riceve.

 

Since several days I have begun to prepare materials to create some gifts,
Every year I love to give to those around me something homemade
simple things, little thoughts, talking of the affection I feel for those who receive them.

Dalla prossima settimana inizierà un appuntamento dove condividerò con voi 

qualche semplice idea di regali DIY, da potere fare come mia tradizione

con materiali che abbiamo in casa, o riciclati.

Qui una piccolissima anteprima di quel che vedremo.

Legno, materiale semplice e prezioso,

dalle  mille forme e dalle mille vite possibili.

Due vecchie assi da cantiere dimenticate nel giardino da lungo tempo

lasciate alle intemperie delle stagioni, e per questo logore ma ancora più interessanti.

Two old construction axes forgotten in the garden for a long time
left to weather of the seasons, and for this worn but still more interesting.

Il maritino, armato di sega chiodi e martello, ne ha creato una meraviglia

che ha immediatamente trovato il suo spazio nella tavernetta.

Hubby, armed with saw hammer and nails, has created a wonder
which immediately found its space in our downstair parlour.

 

Quando si fa prendere da questi raptus creativi lo amo ancora di più! =)

Workshop decorazioni di Natale con Simonetta!

In comune abbiamo molte cose, la prima è l'amore per la natura, la seconda l'amore per la semplicità.

Amo e ammiro quella sua sobrietà, il sapere cogliere il bello nei dettagli più minimi che la natura ci possa offrire.

Finalmente imparerò come fare una corona di Natale con tutti i crismi!

Sono così felice di dirvi che Simonetta, autrice del blog Aboutgarden e di tante altre meravigliose pubblicazioni ed iniziative, sarà nostra ospite a Ca'Vermiglia il 7 dicembre

Novembre di cieli tersi e di brume

amo i suoi giorni di primo freddo pungente

i suoi colori che lentamente cambiano e da decisi sfumano nelle tenui tonalità dell'inverno

 November of clear skies and mists
I love his first days of bitter cold
its colors slowly change and that blend in the soothing shades of winter

Ancora autunno ma a a braccetto con l'inverno

di sagre, cibi caldi e vino novello

di passeggiate a raccogliere bacche e pigne e regali del bosco

perchè il Natale sembra, ma non è mica poi così lontano.

Still autumn but hand in hand with winter
of festivals, hot food and new wine
walks to pick berries and pine cones, and gifts of the forest
because Christmas it's not that far away.

 

  

Raccolgo tralci di viticella per farne ghirlande che poi lascio seccare al sole,

aspettando che una certa signora venga a trovarci

e mi insegni finalmente come fare.

 I collect branches to make wreaths of Clematis Viticella then let them dry in the sun,
waiting for some lady to come and visit us
and finally teach me how to do it.

Intanto raccolgo immagini di GHIRLANDE che mi piacciono...

Back to blog - Going Upstream

Quando ho cambiato lavoro credevo che avrei avuto più tempo a disposizione per gli affetti e me stessa, per la mia casa e i miei interessi. Non è stato così finora, e tutto questo mi ha portata alla considerazione che devo selezionare meglio le cose che hanno importanza, e dedicare il mio tempo a quelle che mi arricchiscono, che mi riempiono il cuore.

 When I changed my job I thought I'd have more time for my loved ones and myself, 
for my home and my interests. Not so far, and this led me to consider that 
I have to choose the best things that matter, and devote my time to those who enrich me,  
that fill my heart.

Ho deciso di tornare al blog, riempire magari meno spesso ma con la qualità "affettiva" di un tempo le mie piccole pagine, aperte per la condivisione di quel che amo e mi fa star bene.

I decided to go back to the blog, fill maybe less often but with the  "emotional" quality my little pages, that I opened to share what I love and makes me feel good.

 

Nella mia brevissima esperienza ho capito che Facebook è un meraviglioso strumento
ma solo se preso nella giusta dose.
E che è più difficile riempire Fb di contenuti così come preferisco, 
almeno in questo momento della ma vita.

 In my brief experience I realized that facebook is a wonderful tool
but only if taken in the right dose.
And that is the most difficult to fill Fb content as well as I desire, 
at least at this point in my life.

 
Dunque più blog e meno Facebook, almeno nelle mie intenzioni. Vedremo se sarò così brava da riuscirci.
