To age it I used this procedure:
I put in a glass jar some steel wool, the thinnest I found (00)

and I completely covered with white vinegar, letting it steep for 24 hours.
Ho messo in un barattolo di vetro della lana d'acciaio, la più sottile che ho trovto (00), e l'ho coperta completamente con aceto di vino bianco, lasciandolo in infusione per 24 ore.
I brushed on the wood this solution and allowed to dry completely .
I suggest you do this outdoors or in areas not frequented , is a bit smelly !
Ho spennellato sul legno questa soluzione e lasciato asciugare completamente. Suggerisco di fare questa operazione all'aria aperta o in spazi non frequentati, fa un odoraccio!
If the color is not the right intensity you can apply a second coat
as I did in this case.
You will get a grayish color, just like the wood aged outside.
Se il colore non è ancora della giusta intensità potete passare una seconda mano,
come ho fatto io in queso caso
Otterrete un colore tendente al grigio, proprio come il legno invecchiato all'esterno.
If you want a color a bit warm make a strong tea (yes tea!), I used 1 teaspoon for each cup of water , and use it to brush your wood . Easy , eco-friendly , and ... it really works!

Se desiderate un colore un po' più caldo preparate del the forte (sì proprio del the), io ho usato 1 bustina per ogni bicchiere d'acqua, e usatelo per spennellare il vostro legno.
Facile, ecologico, e ... funziona!

ATTENZIONE
se vi rimane delle soluzione di aceto e la volete utilizzare dopo qualche giorno fate attenzione perchè più la lana d'acciaio rimane in ammollo più la soluzione diventa scurente!!
