My new Kitchen - A Sneak Peek

We have finally almost finished the move.

This time the first room (almost) finished is the kitchen and,
for the first time in my life, it is close to what is my ideal kitchen: 

finally spacious, bright, a place for everything!

Abbiamo finalmente quasi terminato il trasloco.

Questa volta la prima stanza ad essere stata (quasi) terminata è la cucina e, 

per la prima volta nella mia vita, si avvicina a quella che è la mia cucina ideale: 

finalmente spaziosa, luminosa, con un posto per ogni cosa!

In this moment everything is unusually well tidy...

Just a couple of weeks and we get back to the ordinary chaos, but the one I like, 

full of life and excitement.

Our kitchen, even small as it was, has always been the place of life, 

of food but also of tasks and drawings, 

of salt dough and confidences ...

In questo momento è tutto così insolitamente ordinato...

Basteranno un paio di settimane per tornare all'ordinario caos,
ma quello che mi piace,  pieno di vita e di fermento.

La nostra cucina, per piccola che fosse, è sempre stato il luogo della vita, 

del cibo ma anche dei compiti e dei disegni, 

della pasta di sale e delle confidenze...

Between a box and the other I was able to take some pictures, 

but for now I have only a sneak peek ...

Tra uno scatolone e l'altro sono riuscita a scattare qualche foto, 

ma per ora ho solo qualche assaggio...

Sunday and Monday

A simple lunch with some of our loved ones.

Then a small respite from the rain, the Flair of the cherry blossoms in Vignola 

(I had already talk about HERE) a lilac plant I couldn't resist (Queen of Russia) ...

Un pranzo semplice, con alcuni dei nostri cari. 
Poi una piccola tregua dalla pioggia, la festa dei ciliegi in fiore di Vignola  (ve ne avevo già parlato QUI) una pianta di lillà irresistibile (queen of Russia)... 

So we spent our Easter and Monday: spade in hand,

and many small and large potted plants waiting to be interpreted.

The garden is starting to take some form, and the birds are happy.

Così abbiamo trascorso la nostra Pasqua ed il lunedì: 

vanga in mano, e tanti vasi di piante piccole e grandi che aspettavano di essere interpretati.

Il giardino comincia a prendere qualche forma, e gli uccellini ne sono contenti.

Easter

And while outside chill and rain seem to want to go on forever, I enjoy the heat of the oven, and the smell of sweet is cooking.

Today is also Hubby's birthday, who deserves this and more ... =)

E mentre fuori gelo e pioggia sembra che non vogliano finire mai, mi godo il calore del forno, e il profumo del dolce che sta cuocendo.

Oggi è anche il compleanno del maritino, che si merita questo ed altro... =)

Updates from home and some last Easter's ideas

Dear friends, today a quick post just to say hello and give you some update on our home.

I am happy to say that finally the renovation of our apartment is finished!

And with the completion of the work here it is ... the new move ...

Cari amici, oggi un post veloce per farvi un saluto e darvi qualche aggiornamento sulla casa.

Sono felice di poter dire che finalmente la ristrutturazione del nostro appartamento è terminata!

E con il termine dei lavori eccolo arrivare...  il nuovo trasloco...

Moving around is a hard, no denying that. 

But I face everything with lighter at the thought that this time it should finally be the last!

Lo spostamento di tutto è una gran fatica, inutile negarlo. 
Ma affronto ogni cosa con maggiore leggerezza, al pensiero che stavolta 
dovrebbe essere finalmente l'ultimo!

Sunday garden - Roserogpatina - Shady perennials

Ellen's garden is beautiful: romantic, tidy but not tamed, authentic.

How not to remain conquered by it?

Il giardino di Ellen è bellissimo: romantico, curato ma non addomesticato, autentico. 

Come non rimanerne conquistati?

This garden gives me the opportunity to continue with a few suggestions

on garden's corners simple to create, but impressive.

Questo giardino mi offre lo spunto per continuare con qualche suggerimento 

su angoli di giardino semplici da creare, ma di effetto.

Ellen chose each plant carefully, aware of what she was going to plant,

or plants with an added value such as Columbine and Foxglove.

Ellen ha scelto ogni pianta con cura, consapevole di quel che andava a piantare, 

ovvero piante  con un valore aggiunto, come Aquilegia e Digitale.

 Foxglove and columbine are herbaceous perennials (I have already spoken of herbaceous perennials here) which have the particularity to love not sunny areas. 

If you plant away from direct sunlight they will give you abundant and long-lasting blooms.

Digitale e aquilegia sono erbacee perenni (ho già parlato delle erbacee perenni qui) che hanno la particolarità di amare le zone non soleggiate. Se piantate al riparo dal sole diretto vi regaleranno fioriture abbondanti e durature.

Foxglove is perfect to create, with its elongated shape, a point of interest, and of raising the border.

The columbine, in its high variety (there are also low) form gorgeous bushes, 

and has the characteristic of hybridizing with extreme ease.

La digitale è perfetta per creare, con la sua forma allungata, un punto di interesse, e di innalzamento della bordura.

L'aquilegia nella sua varietà alta (ne esistono anche di basse) forma cespugli splendidi, ed ha la caratteristica di ibridarsi con estrema facilità.
