Energy

Now we are almost at the end.

The renovation of the apartment is almost finished,

 a few things are missing, the wood on the ground, the last details.

Ormai siamo quasi al termine.

La ristrutturazione del'appartamento è quasi terminata,

poche cose mancano, il legno a terra,  gli ultimi dettagli.

I admit that I underestimated the difficulty of this enterprise,

 or perhaps overestimated my strength. 

Ammetto che avevo sottovalutato la fatica di questa impresa,

o forse sopravvalutato le mie forze.

I feel strongly the need to take a long break 

and recharge my batteries ... instead I still need a lot for the new move

Sento decisamente il bisogno di fare una lunga pausa

 e recuperare le energie... invece me ne serviranno ancora tante, 

per il nuovo trasloco

As each yera I'm grateful to the first plants

who give me some earl beauty.

Here a wonderful example of a fresh spring garden, entirelydeclined in white 

full of easy to grow plants

Ogni anno sono grata alle prime piante che mi donano qualche primizia di bellezza.

Qua un meraviglioso esempio di un fresco giardino di primavera

tutto declinato in bianco, 

pieno di piante facili da crescere e mantenere.

Still white winter

 I like riding my bicycle when it snows,

the snow dry, so much that you can clearly see the crystals

Mi piace andare in bicicletta quando nevica,

la neve asciutta, così tanto da poter vedere chiaramente i cristalli

stinging cold on my face, like a thousand tiny pins
the streets almost empty

che punge fredda sul viso, come mille piccoli spilli

le strade quasi deserte

and the big flakes, thick, that are placed on the face
and I, as when I was a child, that with my tongue grab them fast
when they land near my lips.

e i fiocchi larghi, fitti, che si posano sul viso

e io, come da bambina, che con la lingua li afferro veloci

quando si posano vicino alle labbra.

 Here's snowing fast, and I feel strangely light
 Qua nevica veloce, ed io mi sento stranamente leggera.

Savoir vivre

Knowing how to live well is an art

often innate, sometimes learned

Saper vivere bene è un'arte

spesso innata, alle volte appresa

Perhaps may be easier to have this quality if you live an easy life,

surrounded by loved ones and safety

Certo può essere più semplice possedere questa qualità se si vive una vita facile,

circondati da affetti e sicurezze

But at the end I see it's not essential: I know people who are able to enjoy the life they have, 

a life that in the eyes of many might seem has nothing special to be happy for.

Ma alla fine vedo che non è essenziale: conosco persone capaci di vivere bene nella vita che hanno, 

una vita che agli occhi di tanti sembrerebbe non avere nulla di speciale per cui essere felici.

These are the people I admire, and who I always have attracted by

those who doesn't unnecessarily complicate life,
those who smile often and sincerly.

Sono queste le persone che ammiro, e dalle quali sono sempre attratta

quelle che non si complicano inutilmente la vita
e sorridono spesso e sinceramente.
